Organizing 101: Politics of Organizing

Organizing 101: Politics of Organizing is a session in which we attempt to address the following questions: What is power? What forms do organized people take? What types of consensus bring and hold people together? What can organizing accomplish? Beginning with a definition of terms, the session will progress into a facilitated discussion of memorable successes and pitfalls of community organizing. Finally, smaller breakout groups will apply some of the principles discussed in the larger group in a facilitated exercise.
